What can be said about Mark Slomski? Well, truth be told, a lot...

Mark Slomski has been performing and entertaining crowds for quite some time. He began his musical career at the age of 6 and has spent time learning a variety of instruments including ukulele, banjolele, and guitar, as well as dabbling with percussion, mandolin, and violin. He has performed in several theatre productions, a capella groups, and acoustic ensembles. Today, he is best known for his strong vocals, skills with the ukulele, and unique brand of humor.

Starting in 2009, he began traveling the US extensively with his brother in the vaudeville comedy duo, The Slomski Brothers, performing in 27 of the 48 contiguous states. In just one year, the duo recorded and produced two original albums, "The Found LP" and "Travelin". Together they have appeared on PBS' Virginia Currents, the Asheville Burlesque and Sideshow Festival, and other venues throughout the US.

In late 2010, he began collaborating with some very talented people to expand his skills as Master of Ceremonies, as well as learning the fine art of straight jacket escape and juggling fire.

In early 2011, he accepted the role of MC of Gilded Lily Burlesque, Baltimore's own burlesque troupe. He joins their mission to preserve one of the most unique and quintessentially American forms of performance art - burlesque.

Also in 2011, Mark began work on a project many years in the making, creating Richmond's first "UnOpen Mic". The idea was to bring local musicians and patrons together for a casual evening of acoustic music. Performances are by invite only and the event is always free to attend.

In mid-2011, Mark accepted the role of MC of Bouncing Betties Burlesque, a private nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds and support for members of our military and law enforcement, as well as other charities.

In mid 2011, Mark accepted the role of MC of The Hellcat Vixens, a Raleigh, NC based-burlesque troupe with a flair for the dramatic and a eye for style.

Mark Slomski is currently the co-producer and master of ceremonies for the Slomski Vaudeville Cabaret, a live music based show with a focus on comedy, burlesque and sideshow arts.
